Lithium-ion batteries are common in household electronics. Their structure allows lithium ions to reversibly intercalate up to 50 nm deep and provides over 3000 charge-discharge cycles. In practical terms, Liotech batteries allow an electric vehicle to run approximately 400,000 miles before battery replacement. The materials used in Liotech lithium-ion batteries allow for cheaper production and do not include lead, which makes them less toxic.
